No Bad Weather

Linda Akeson McGurk’s fun book There’s No Such Thing As Bad Weather (Simon and Schuster, 2017) is a useful reminder about the value of getting kids outside — a lot — and in any weather.

Make sure your kids are learning about nature and how to be in nature. It doesn’t have to be a major expedition. Lay in the grass and look at the clouds. Find bugs. Take a walk together. In any weather. (OK, I get that you can’t find many bugs in the snow so look for animal tracks instead.) Enjoy!
