Wild Rumpus (part 2)

We had a fun look at the exterior of the Minneapolis children’s book store Wild Rumpus. Nothing fancy, right? It’s looked the same — inside and out — for decades. Let’s try to figure out what makes it such a great store that keeps families returning year after year and generation after generation.

For starters, here’s an image of the inside of that entrance door. The purple part is for little kids. No grownups allowed. Young readers know that they have their own entrance, so the magic begins even before they enter the shop.

Here’s a look as they step into the shop…

In an upcoming post we’ll meet some Wild Rumpus friends!
